Matt Posted August 27, 2012 Group: Member Topic Count: 723 Content Count: 12,293 Reputation: 64 Days Won: 0 Joined: 10/01/2003 Share Posted August 27, 2012 the kid should be kicked off the team. as people have pointed out- based on the steps he took to conceal the crime such as watching the kid looking for his phone, removing the sim card, etc.....this wasn't a "spur of the moment" decision. he had plenty of chances to give it back before the police got involved. but saying you aren't going to support USF anymore if he isn't kicked off the team- that is either really foolish or you aren't a fan to begin with. I think too many people around here throw support at these kids just cause they play football for usf. imagine if that was your son/daughter whose phone was stolen. and you were responsible for paying the $700+ to replace it or worse- you blamed your kid for "losing" their phone when even fact it was actually stolen. face it- among 18-20 year old kids- an Iphone is probably your most important possession. being a student athlete and taking a phone from a fellow student is a low blow and you should deserve to lose your privileges as being a student athlete. I'm surprised that he even had the grades to get in with this type of moral character and behavior... Criminals can be just as smart as Goody Two Shoes ... Yeah, look at that bomb collar they built for the bank robber/pizza delivery guy up in OH. And a remote detonator? I wouldn't know how to build anything like that. ****, those smart criminals.
