I believe the seeding (or nonseeding) remains unchanged within the current brackets. In other words, we keep the "5-slot" designation no matter who else wins. Should all the favorites advance, we would face 4-Okla in the opening round and 1-Cal should we win. However, the losers bracket flips to the other "side" (2/3/6/7 seeds, etc) if I recall correctly.

I believe that's correct.

The WCWS is a mini tournament. It's double-elimination bracket play with the two teams crossing the bracket in the 2nd round of elimination games. When there are two teams remaining, then the slates are cleared and it becomes a best of 3 series.

Just expanding on what Doc said, the matchups would be as follows.....

Brackets are the "seed" and parenthesis are the teams actual seed.

[1](1)Cal/(16)Washington vs [8](9)Missouri/LSU

[4](4)Oklahoma/(13)Arizona vs [5]South Florida/Hofstra

[2](2)Alabama/Michigan vs [7](7)Tennessee/(10)Georgia

[3](3)Arizona State/(14)Louisiana-Lafayette vs [6](6)Texas/(11)Oregon

Nice job to the lady Bulls. I was a tad frustrated as I kept channel flipping trying to catch the Bulls on ESPN but never saw them. UL,Ky Mich and alot of repeats.

I love how clueless you appear to be sometimes almost always.

Gatorvision showed all the USF games for free, I believe. It was linked to early in this thread.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
