Mitchel is hurt.  Unfortunately the entire team looks like his punt returns - stale and without energy.

A punt returner should be a dynamic threat.

Landi is not dynamic or a threat

He has to catch it first.  Notre Dame had a dynamic punt returner that gave us the game.

i can imagine he's back there for his hands.

if we think back to the Marcus Edwards era, simply catching and securing the ball was an issue.

can't make a dynamic play if the ball is left behind on the turf.

Landi is our best possession guy in the pass game because he catches balls and brings them in.

apparently our coaches have determined that his ability to secure the ball is stronger than other, more athletic players' ability to make dynamic plays...

which speaks volumes as to the fundamental skill-levels of some of our players. 6 full seasons of BCS recruiting and we're still getting raw athletes and not football players.

You have solved a major problem. We have wide receivers that can't catch  ;)

I wouldn't blame Landi too much.  It's seems that we can't block the punt team well enough for him to even get started running.
