I'm not acting...I was there.  And to be honest...NO ONE in the building wearing green and gold was happy with the score 23-13.

We needed another score...and didn't get it.

The way ND was moving the ball against our porous defense was kinda sad.

On ND's FIRST drive i was like..."Oh my god...brian kelly has made them good!"

Then we got lucky and Jerrell got the strip.

This is how underdogs win.  Theres nothing wrong with it.  I just like being more down to earth about it.

I left that stadium thinking that if we played  ND 10 times...we lose 8.

Theres nothing wrong with this...cause WE WON!!!

and we can walk away saying this here.  But the fact still stands...we WON THAT GAME.

GO BULLS!!!

Actually...hasn't he been right with alot of calls about USF?

I don't like Mel Kiper Jr.  PERIOD.

"Bad Hair Mel" has always been a "Traditional Program" homer.

I like McShay going out of the box.  He watches his college football.

GO BULLS!!!

They were happy with 23-6 though. Skippy clearly shut it down after that. Was it worth the risk of BJ throwing a pick and Notre Dame making it a game earlier than they did (that is, with less than a minute left)?

The way ND was moving the ball against our porous defense was kinda sad.

What's your point exactly? Cincinnati moved the ball for 590 yards against us (more than ND), put up higher yards per play, and scored about the same. Clemson did the same thing in the second half of the bowl game. Synder has shown us that he will give up yards to win games because our redzone defense is great.

Without the so many turnovers we may have lost, but you can say the same thing that without being conservative you blow them out. Or, if we're not rained out for 2 hours with pep rally's between delays to get the team up we also blow them out. Play the if's and but's game all you want, but we were about even the first half and overcame just about every advantage anyone could give ND in the second half to pull out the "W".

I left that stadium thinking that if we played  ND 10 times...we lose 8.

There is something wrong with that. You think we only win 20% of the time? You're out of your mind. I think it's closer 6/4 favoring ND.

If you are going to play the "if" game you have to go both ways. What if Popek doesn't commit the penalty on 3rd and short and we extend the drive. Maybe we score a TD or at least another FG rather than have to punt. What if Welch doesn't drop the pass for a first down. What if Trex doesn't go down on the shoe string tackle by the punter on his long return.

With two games under both ND and our belts, ND has shown they have the propensity to turn the ball over while we have shown we are creating turnovers. That seems to be the nature of both teams so far so the game played out to the tendencies that both teams are showing so far.

Just to clarify my optimism comment, I have just seen this scenario too many times for USF. I know we have great coaches and athletes but our team has never accomplished anything close to an 11 or 12 win season like some on here are predicting so it is hard for me to visualize it.

I personally think we WORST CASE go 8-4. If our team plays to our potential, 12-0 is possible with our schedule. My prediction is 9-3/10-2 but I am obviously hoping for ORANGES.

I also hope for Oranges...but a Coaches Trophy would be nice too.

That strip had absolutely nothing with us being lucky ...

The way they were moving the ball at will on us would make me think otherwise.

His knee could have touched...or the ref coulda blown the whistle.
