Grothe on this team would be a magician. It's hard to imagine that Daniels actually has shown far worse decision making skills than Grothe.

I'd be interested in knowing the point differential under Grothe and Daniels. I bet it's higher under Matt. Daniels has led us to a bunch of very lopsided loses.

Just eyeballing it, losses by 14+:

Daniels

2010 L UF by 24

2009 L Miami by 21

2009 L Rutgers by 31

2009 L Pitt by 27

2009 L Cincy by 17

Grothe

2008 L Rutgers by 33

2007 NONE (L by 15 total points..none by more than 7)

2006 L Louisville by 23

2006 L Cincy by 17

Grothe had 3 games in 3 years. Daniels has had 5.

That said, Daniels only had ONE last season so maybe I'm being a bit harsh on him. I think/hope he's turned the corner.

I really have to think BJ has turned the corner.

Had the extra time before the bowl and looked real good.

Now a full spring and summer... EXPECTING a very good season from him.

They both have the same scambling ,mobile type QB play - I think Matt wins but at this point I hope BJ makes that next step.
