This thread has more posts than the majority of our members, can we give the thread an honorary membership?

Only if we get to 200 pages.

We need a QB that can make a decision on the field and stick with it. AW cannot make a decision off the field & stick with it, what makes you think that he can make a decision on the field as a quarterback in a heat of the moment game time situation?

Because they're two entirely different situations probably ...

I think you should do a simple Google search of past Elite 11 camps before you declare a "high percentage" of them did ****. Some of them became all-conference, some of them all-American, some of them pros. But guess what, some of them are Roman Ybarra.

Of course there are busts. But this group includes players like Andrew Luck, Geno Smith, AJ McCarron, Matt Stafford, Tim Tebow, etc..

After looking at the list of atendees i would say its the other way around. A few select sucess stories but the majority underachived or were busts.

About 1/3 of the 11 each year meet with well above average success including 3 Heisman winners and multiple Heisman finalists 99-2008. Its still early to see what the newer classes will do. And if you look at the list on Wikipedia, and someone doesn't look impressive, click on their name and see what they did at school, like Kellen Clemons, drafted in the second round by the Jets because he did things in school like break records of players like Dan Fouts. Or Drew Stanton who would have been a superstar if it wasn't for injuries every year. For the most part the Elite 11 are well above average QBs. Sometimes they don't get a break to go big, or they screw up or get hurt, or don't qualify academically, just like in real life. It would be hard to find a high school superstar meet with a history of more successful players.

You think the variables and consequences of the two are anywhere near the same scale? One may lead to an INT. The other might mean he ends up on food stamps at age 25.
