USF Baseball lost both games of the double header today and was swept by Notre Dame. They have now lost 7 in a row (Which includes 6 conference losses and a non conference loss to UCF. Talk about a rough stretch.) and are 22-28 overall, including an 11-13 conference record.

As pathetic as it is to type this, our Bulls may not even make the Big East tournament this year.

our defense was pathetic in this series, and ND capitalized on almost every opportunity we gave them. We have one more three game set vs Pitt. Hopefully we can grab 2 or 3 and maybe squeeze into the tourney

That is just something that we should never have to say in regards to baseball.

Cold weather, and the lack of local talent for those schools to recruit.

True.  I like Lelo Prado but some things need to mentioned at this point.  At UL he ran a decent program, but once he left they excelled went to the World Series and have averaged winning 44 games a year...he never saw 40 wins at UL in his career.  We know he won a DII World Series at UT but so have 3 other coaches...the product at UT is easy to produce at with all the area talent.

So given those facts, and the fact he has failed to produce even minimally what Cardieri was able to produce in his last 5 years....is it time to start wondering about his future?  Let's see next year with all facilities but he needs to start producing.  This market is to big with baseball talent to accept not making the BE Tourney!

It is becoming pretty clear that Prado is just a bad coach and Woolard needs to get rid of him.  We are currently in 9th place in a mediocre at best conference...it is pathetic

With Seton Halls loss to Cincy, the Bulls control their own destiny for a spot in Clearwater. Both teams are 11-13 but USf has the tiebreak

a = West Virginia won season series over Cincinnati, 2-1.

b = USF won season series over Seton Hall, 2-1.

c = St Johns and Notre Dame had one game canceled due to weather.

z = clinched regular season Big East Championship

y = clinched bid to Big East Tournament

x = eliminated from earning a bid

FINAL WEEKEND GAMES

UConn @ Cincinnati

Georgetown @ Seton Hall

Notre Dame @ Louisville

Pitt @ USF

Rutgers @ West Virginia

Villanova @ St Johns

USF should be pulling for UConn, Georgetown, and either Notre Dame or Louisville to sweep the other. (Possibly cheer for Rutgers to take 2 from WVU, but not sweep).
