The current coaching staff has been pursuing players who are out of state but in USF's history some of the best players have come the state of Florida.  Maybe USF should turn their attention to the players that are in the state of Florida.

I've been saying this for years.  Names like Eneil Polynice, Jermaine Taylor, and Rodriguez all went elsewhere without even an offer or interest from USF.  All said they wanted to USF to consider.  FL has been good to us, UCF signed three very top quality FL kids this year, before they decided to cheat with out of state players, those were three great looking wing players that would have fit into our program.

Above you're also forgetting good names like BB Waldon, Jesse Salters, Fred Lewis...FL has been good to us.

Umm, how about the BEST USF player ever?

Charlie Bradley, from Ybor City

Where are you getting "Ybor City" from?? CB was a Robinson Knight homeboy, which means he should have been from the Port Tampa/Interbay area ...

That's still just some random poster on here saying he was from Ybor City. The link offered in that post doesn't say anything about Ybor City.

A Miami Herald article posted on that thread says "The 19-year-old sophomore is a native of Tampa, playing his early basketball on an outdoor basketball court in the Ybor City area." Maybe they were still bussing back then or he lived there before his high school years ...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
