Just another reason why affirmative action needs to go bye-bye...

Financial success should dictate which sports teams a university has and not what is PC correct.

Which USF sports teams are actually operating in the black?

football... baseball... men's basketball... men's soccer... maybe women's basketball

After that I don't believe the other sports bring in much of anything, perhaps in sponsorships, but not in tickets purchased.

Title IX is keeping USF and many other schools from upgrading productive sports clubs to actual sports teams...

Some of the women's groups are already kicking up sand about this USF gender equity deal, hinting that USF women student-athletes may be getting shorted in scholarship money with any double/triple roster counting.

Kind of sounded that way to me. Triple counting a ton of non-cpompeting walkons in the various running sports does seem a little doubtful.  What about scholarships--how do those match up at USF, fpr men's and women's sports?

It should be about the number of schollies, NOT the number of sports, IMO.

And if we're going to do it for women, then why do we not do it for whites, hispanics, blacks, and asians as well? Why aren't there an equal number of schollies based on the population?

Let's be honest Title IX is a joke. Maybe if the number of women on scholarship in all of these schools was what it was supposed to be, maybe we wouldn't have so many 4 million dollar college football and basketball coaches.

Can't play players but can put 3 million in a coach's bank account  ::)
