If they did, its wrong. The board hasn't approved the renovations yet.

But it has not been approved yet, so that would be news to Athletics if it did.

If that is the case, they could 'begin the renovation' by starting to remove items such as the basketball floor and other things that can be done to prep for the new construction without a permitting requirement. They were moving down from the top and moving around trying to move into the main part of the student section. As soon as they got close, about 25 students and some non-students from the 2nd level laid into them with an "********" chant and many one-finger salutes. Some popcorn was thrown and they were jeered all the way out of the Sun Dome. Was it the "respect-a-bull" thing to do? Probably not, but it was **** good to see a bunch of our fans stand up for and showing pride in being a BULL.

That certainly turned out to be wrong. This comment is just as clueless, short-sighted and premature as any comments made last year suggesting that the team was all of a sudden going to be competitive every single year in the conference overnight because they made the NIT once. You know, there's no rule saying you have to make these broad, all-encompassing statements about the state of the team stretching out into some indefinite time in the future. It's OK to say, "the team isn't very good this year" without assuming that it's always going to be that way, just like you can say "the team was better than it has been in years last year" without assuming that means the team is all of a sudden, overnight, going to be good all the time.Perhaps things would be more enjoyable to you if you didn't apparently feel like you have to be constantly and without interruption making judgments about the entire past and future of USF basketball based on the things that have happened in the immediate past or present. They've lost a lot of close games against really good teams. That certainly doesn't make the team good or anything, but this is so far from the worst team USF has fielded in the past decade or so that I have to wonder if anyone sharing your negative outlook had ever even seen a USF game before Stan Heath became the coach.
