Schaeffer WAS the man at Tennessee... he won the job over Ainge... he made the right decision... freak injury, now ainge has the job.

If he didn't get injured, he'd still be THE MAN.

You should bring in the best talent you can for all positions.  If you have three stud QBs that want to come to your school, you take them.  Of course you let them know that they'll get a fair shot at the position, but there's no guarantees.

Also, you can't be sure you can get a great QB in every class.  If you bring in two in one

class you can red-shirt one and then they are seperated by a year.

Yeah Schaeffer is dumb for accepting the challenge of signing at a traditional football, nationally recognized powerhouse like Ten over the relatively unknown University of South Florida.  Schaeffer rightfully had all the confidence in the world that he cold win that job and he did.  It was his first choice.  You should always stick with your first choice.

I really don't follow recruiting all that closely but are there "top jc qbs" ever out there?? It's not a postion heard from much in that regard, is it?

Probably because smarts are usually needed to play qb and smarts is what usually sends a kid the jc route ...
