They're going to have to have a complete meltdown in conference to not go to the Big Dance ...

I'm not so sure about that. Their SOS is going to begin to fall now that they are in conference play. A few more losses will really hurt them.

Remember Southern Miss had a team some years back that won 22 games and didn't make the tournament. UCF will be no lock if they lose another handful of games.

Actually UCF won 22 games back in the early years in CUSA and didn't go ANYWHERE ... I definitely don't see that happening. Really kind of too early to see how things will be stacked up at the end of the season .... I'm just glad we won't have to go through that undue anxiety of worrying about where we'll be playing post season ... Too stressful.

Looked at realtimerpi.com today and UCF is at 18 in the RPI, but with an SOS of 85, so a few more losses are going to push them down quickly.

USF is somehow near 100 at 112, with an SOS of 8.

Undefeated OOC with a couple wins over marquee names, ranking, and, national publicity followed by tanking in Conference Play ...sounds familiar

Still made our claim for the State of Florida's best  ;D

Funny thing is we did the same thing year in and year out under Seth in the real CUSA with real basketball teams in it, but never got ranked...  Always sniffed it, never nailed it...
