Brian Dawkins and it's not even close.  8 Time Pro Bowler and and 5 time all pro......Has an outside shot at the HOF.

Dawkins has also been in the league forever.

Very true but he is the last truly polished guy i can think of that they put in.  Yeah spiller was a high pick but he was harldy polished just a really fast scat back type that needed work in quite a bit of areas beyond that.

Yes, we have fallen short on many occassions and there is no way the "experts" are going to give us the nod.  They would rather say they were surprised by us than pick us and watch us lay an egg like we did against Oregon.

I believe this to be the main reason why as well. We have burnt the "experts" bad in previous years.

When you have a QB who under pressure will throw it up for grabs, games like these can be wrecked by a single player.  This DE they have is an absolute beast and if the pic of him being on Daniels 3 steps into a drop doesn't scare you then nothing will.  Our OL has shown it can be pretty good, but when you face a super freak unless you have a similar guy to match up against him, it's going to throw the whole line out of whack not too mention having to devote more guys to block him which has a domino effect which all spells DEAD OFFENSE.

Unless this guy has a tendency we can exploit like he rushes wide every time, it's going to create MASSIVE problems for our offense.  I think our defense plays a great game and keeps it close, but short fields by the offense is going to be our undoing.

I hope I'm wrong, but we have seldom been able to "enforce our will" as an offense on anyone, let alone a team sporting what may be the most talented guy in the draft.

Question is, can we get the ball out quick enough to neutralize him and can the WRs be quick and sharp enough in their initial moves off the line to give our QBs enough of a window to fit some passes in there.  Then there's that...being able to put the ball on the money to these guys on quick slants that don't turn into tip drills...

Hope we can pull it off and can't wait to see if the extra time gives our offense a few more wrinkles.  With CJL, you often wondered what they did with the extra time as we were entirely predictable just like always.

Clemson beat N.C. State.  N.C. State just beat West Virginia.  WV beat USF.

Clemson took the # 1 team in the country (Auburn) to overtime.

I'd feel better about this game if USF had a better QB.

the transitive property doesn't work in football.

besides, usf beat miami, miami beat clemson.

either way, it's going to be a tough game.

lol maybe its because clemson is just known to be a better football team than usf. We have not earned the right to say wee are better then every team. Maybe if we just stay humble and win and then talk when we beat teams.

P.S that jacoby ford guy is pretty good for the raiders.
