I wonder if we'd hire a new OC if Fitch leaves, or if Skip would promote Vaas and hire a coach at another position. It's kind of odd that the OC is not the QB coach.

I also wonder if Skip will get rid of any of the "old" staff that he kept last year. Obviously, I think Patrick is safe unless he leaves on his own, but I wonder about McGeoghin. As he told BJ, he's the guy with his ass on the line, if he isn't 100% happy with the staff, I'd imagine that some of those guys could be gone.

Snyder's good as gone.

Really?  Please explain, since I've seen nothing with his name mentioned ...

Just an opinion.  And you won't hear anything til after bowl season anyway unless an opening pops up beforehand

Jobs are already open.  The carousel is picking up speed.  After the bowl season makes it a little late to take a Head coaching job because of recruiting.  See USF in Jan 2010.

Should we lose Fitch, does that mean another offensive system and terminology for our QBs to learn?  Or does the head coach have "his" system and the offensive coordinators implement that system?

I don't think so since fitch has been with holtz over 10 years.  Assume that they have the same system.  Also, if vaas stays then they have the same qb coach.

Remember that thread earlier about the comment on ECU boards saying a coaches son said this wasn't all it was cracked up to be? Well, maybe there was some truth to that...

Seems like we have some really good athletes that are going unused. We need someone to develop them at WR

Yeah, that one.  That and someone's allusion to a napoleon complex in our athletic department...
