Anyone know? It's not like the game will sell out the Sun Dome. I think it will be pretty cool, but don't understand the reasoning behind it.

I was wondering the same thing....doesn't seem like a "win" for USF Athletics.

....UNLESS!!!!!

Maybe the Forum is not charging USF to use the facility and use this game as a practice run for Round 2 of the NCAA Tournament?

The powers that be are expecting a crap-ton of Syracuse fans at this one. So USF might as well make a few bucks off their fans. Our attendence is comparitively apathetic compared to some of our Big East basketball bretheren, even if it is a home game for us.

I could definitely see that being a factor. After the problem with the Magic/Heat game they need another test run, so we will give them that roughly a month before they host the NCAA Tournament.

They usually do this the year they host ... Kind of surprised there wasn't one already scheduled.

Not 100% sure, but I believe it has something to do with the NCAA tournament.  Something about the NCAA requiring the host (USF) to play there during the season.

Too bad, the Bulls need a packed, loud and rowdy crowd in the Sun Dome for the Cuse game to have any home court advantage, oh wait, they need that for every home game.

I don't like it at all.  Assume it is to sell more tickets to Syracuse fans--we can use the revenue, of course, but gives up any possible home court advantage and makes it inconvenient for our fans. I think they think the game might sell out in the SD.
