But $4 for a Div1A AQ conference game? You find nothing wrong with this? REALLY?

If selling the tickets for $4 allows even just one person who couldn't otherwise afford to go to the game get tickets, then I think it is a GREAT thing. Absolutely no doubt about it.

The seats would be empty otherwise. You can buy season tickets in this section normally for less than $11 per game, is that really a big difference? Did you cry about that deal too?

It's a one-day holiday deal. It's not nearly the big deal you think it is.

I think fans who whine about a holiday ticket special are far more embarrassing to the university than the holiday special itself.

You know what's worse than people "whining"? A condesending *******. You must have a miserable life because in **** near every post, you say something negative of at least one poster. Get over yourself. I bet that MANY more people find it embarrasiing. Your statement about other schools not selling out. While true, please show me where the other schools have sold $4 yes FOUR dollar tickets. I'm not saying that people should not buy them, heck it's truly a great deal. But $4 for a Div1A AQ conference game? You find nothing wrong with this? REALLY?

I find ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with this.  This game is not sold out and will not be sold out. So why not get more people to attend the game? If they have a good time, maybe they come back and pay full price next time.

If you really have a problem with it, then what you a're REALLY saying is that you are embarrassed that USF cannot sell out our games... that USF does not have a product on the field that attracts 65,000 people every week.

Would you rather just leave the seats empty?

I repeat my earlier statement about you being a miserable, condescending *******. No, I didn't cry about that, and I'm not crying about this. I'm merely expressing an opinion that you can't understand. You find any other examples of $4 dollar tickets? If you go back and read my first post you'll see that I understand the but in the seats mentality. Do you understand what a condescending ******* is?

Doesn't bother me at all. I personally know three people that bought these tickets that would not have been at the game otherwise.

I'm really not understanding why it would bother ANYBODY ... People ***** about weeknight games because, for one reason, it doesn't bring in the casual fan to help build the fanbase and now they're trying something to get that casual fan to the stadium for a game and it's "embarrassing" .... whatever the hell THAT means.

OK jim READ MY FIRST POST. I understand the butt in the seat mentality. Can you produce another Div 1A AQ conference shcool that sells $4 tickets? Agian please read my first post. Just in case you don't want to. I've provided the exact quote here.  I know that seats sold are better than empty

It's just a continuation of the tired, predictable "our fans suck ass!" whining. These people will ***** about everything.

Look everyone, someone posted something that the "cool kids" don't like. Everyone pile on. Just so you know, USF CAN and DOES do stuff wrong.

It's just a continuation of the "cool kids" mentality on this board. Some of you make it very hard to participate in any debate. I bet that I am far from alone in this feeling.

USF CAN and DOES do stuff wrong.

Sure. But selling tickets that wouldn't otherwise be sold at a discounted rate for one day on the busiest holiday shopping day of the year is not one of those things.

^ This.... The seats would be empty otherwise... they're having a one day gimmick... for the love of god does it matter if another school does it? Other schools are not in the same situation as USF currently is.... Good grief BBM don't you have anything better to ***** about today?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
