That's what the Japs get for that unabated blow to the helmet on Hawai'i during the opening kickoff.

Meanwhile, Australia was ******** that they were undefeated and aren't getting respect in the rankings. But their schedule was so weak, they literally played no one, except the Weak African Conference teams they blew out by 100 points. They threatened to put even more blue in their flag and wear all blue to throw off their opponents.

General Patton says his team will play anyone, anywhere, and much prefers road games.

This Thread is Hall of Fame material.  You guys are freakin' awesome.

One question, what did Vegas have as the spread on the Germany v France match?  And did France cover(up)?

There was no line since there were severe holes in France's defensive front.  Germany got up on them early.  It's was really over before it began.  That's why I was shocked with France's preseason ranking.  The only one they ever won was a scrimmage against themselves (the French Revolution).

The rest of Germany's schedule was loaded with patsies; Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland, etc.

Well they did have some wins when Napoleon was there, but all those were forfeited because it was found that Napolean was ineligible since he was Italian and not French.  Plus, his season campaign hit a road block going on the road to Russia in the winter (best homefield advantage of any team).

Yeah, but Japan's strength of schedule was pitiful.  They refused to go up against China and they had several 1-AA countries on their schedule.

Plus they had some bad playcalling. Just look at Midway, they couldn't decide to load bombs or torpedoes, and the US caught them off guard.  Playcalling will kill you like that.

Although, we did have to throw a couple of bombs at the end to win it.

That's called a Hail Mary these days.

I guess we should be grateful for the #4 ranking. Just think where we would have wound up if it hadn't been for Coach Patton's ground game.

WHAT, #4?!?! Bull crap. I can't believe the computers dealt us such a crappy hand. I could expect the World Leaders' Poll to hand Germany a 1st place ranking due to Axis favoritism, but this is an outrage! Armies with unlimited funding and centuries of tradition like Germany will always get the nod over younger up-and-coming powerhouses like the US.

If only we hadn't let Japan move ahead so early in the game, we wouldn't seem as vulnerable to defeat, but who could have seen that vicious air attack coming? Maybe if we had joined the Allied conference earlier in the season...

In more recent news,  Palestine continues to pursue an On-Campus Stadium while their program remains on probation for numerous and continuous viloations.  The Swiss still refuse to establish a football program, although their most talented athletes go abroad and play flag football for Vatican City.  Thanks to WWII, the Japanese are not allowed to play anything more the flag football.
