The Bulls heard their name called as one of 64 teams that will participate in the 2010 NCAA Championship, marking the first time in the program's history that the ladies will play in the NCAA tournament. USF will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to take on Auburn in the first round on Friday, Nov. 12.

The game time has not been announced yet by host Florida State.

The meeting between the Bulls and Tigers will mark the first between the two schools. USF 1-5-1 against members of the Southeastern Conference.

Auburn comes into the tournament with a record of 11-7-2 after bowing out of the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament with a 2-1 loss to Georgia. The Tigers won the SEC Western Division Championship during the regular season.

USF is one of six teams from the BIG EAST Conference to make the field of 64. Three BIG EAST schools will serve as host sites for the First and Second Rounds: Notre Dame, Marquette and West Virginia while Connecticut and Georgetown round out the BIG EAST contingency.

USF joins Florida, Florida State and UCF as other teams from the Sunshine State to be selected. In total, five opponents from the Bulls' 2010 schedule heard their names called as well.

The other two teams in the Region are host Florida State and Middle Tennessee.

The 29th annual NCAA Women's College Cup will be played December 3 and 5 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. North Carolina State University, Town of Cary and Capital Area Soccer League will serve as hosts.  National Semifinal No. 1 will be played at 4 p.m. Eastern while National Semifinal No. 2 will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. Eastern.  On Friday, Dec. 3, both semifinals will receive live national television coverage as one semifinal will be broadcast or simulcast on ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPN3.com while the other semifinal will air exclusively on ESPNU.  The NCAA Women's College Cup national semifinals television coverage will be determined after the quarterfinals have been played.  The national championship match will occur on Sunday, Dec. 5 at noon Eastern and will be broadcast live on ESPN2/ESPN3.com.

This must be the fastest turn around we have gotten from a new coach in our history.  She has kicked butt.

Congrats!  Who would've thought that out of all the sports, USF has become a fixture in soccer...with our international ties, it probably will only get better after this consistent success with the two great coaches we have if we can keep them.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
