Take 2 of 3 from red sox.  Stay tied with yankees and 6.5 ahead of sox.  16 wins away from the 96 that, I think, will guarantee a playoff appearance.

Thought I read somewhere, also, that entering the Sox series, the magic number was 30 (combination Rays wins/Sox losses) to finish ahead of Boston ... if true, the number is at 26.

May be true about the magic #.  I came up with 96 after seeing that no AL team had missed the playoffs the last 5 years if they got 96 wins.

No, it stays the same.  Red Sox are losing though, so it could be 24 at the end of the night.
