During our trip to FIU, we stumbled apon the Hilton Garden Inn at Miami Airport West. It's about 18 miles from the stadium, which isn't too far, and the rooms are around $120-140 per night for four. It's clean and safe, always a plus. It's right off of 75 which makes it a good spot to avoid any traffic the next morning.

Anyone have experience with either? I'm sure the Hampton is ok, but the El Palacio gets very mixed reviews.

The place was surprisingly good, given the price ($69/night). Since then, we've stayed in several of these hotels and they've all been great. I've got us booked at the one at the Miami Airport for this game.

If your hotel will provide a shuttle thats great but don't walk any distance by yourself. 3 to 4 miles East, North or West of the Statium are ok but nothing to the South is worth it.CheersMichael

Also it is next to the horse track and a casino.
