Where's everyone booking down in Miami for Thanksgiving weekend?

I'm assuming it'll be fairly packed and it'll be wise to reserve some rooms early. I am considering South Beach since I've never been there.

Thoughts?!

Here's a hotel I stayed at on South Beach that was pretty cool:

$239 per night! I'll pass!

I made my reservations through bookit.com when I stayed at this hotel a few years ago which shaved about $100 off the published rate on the hotel's website.

We are booked in a Residence Inn Ft. Lauderdale SW/ Miramar.  Fairly close to the stadium, not the beaches.  2 bedroom suite that sleeps 6 for $178 if you are going with 4 or more.

This is the area we'll more be looking at ... and I guess with the game time up in the air, we can just reserve Fri and Sat and cancel one if needed ... I better get on it.

I booked the RI at Aventura Mall on Marriot points.  I think it's about the same distance to the stadium, but closer to the beach and the mall is like International with some great restaurants and bars.

That was a possibility for us.  Not sure why we opted for the other, unless there was a big price difference.  Saving our Marriott points for a trip to Napa.
