Grothe invited to Bucs Mini Camp

Great 8, have a littel respect for the board and the posts here.  That is the kind of post that ruins boards, yours.  He is just stating his opinion, not in an attacking manner.  Retort, but really, the tone is not good for anything, we are all fans here, well, except Smazza (JK)....

Ok, so we all know that it's highly unlikely that Grothe makes the roster, but 1 - it's not impossible, and 2 - atleast this gives him the chance to show others around the NFL what his game is all about post knee surgery.  The more time he gets, the better chance he has.  I still think he could be a great CFL QB with the way he stretches the field.  Either way, he's a heck of a competitor.

What's the point? Did Brees just pack it in and quit? Should Grothe because some stupid website says his stint will be brief?

First of all no one said that he should just pack it up and quit.  Second, it's not "some stupid website."  They keep up with the Bucs more than anyone out there, so I think they might know just a little bit considering they called Grothe coming to mini camp weeks ago.

STFU, we know Grothe probably won't make the team, you pointing out the obvious with articles doesn't add any significance to your belief.

We know Grothe has little chance, some of us think he may (it's called bias). I think we've covered the bases of "Matt sux0rs he's no NFL qb" from enough people. No?

I was stopping the "Grothe will be the next Bucs QB", "I hope he makes the team", etc.... talk before it got out of hand as it did in a thread a couple weeks ago.  FYI, not everyone reads every thread, or every post in every thread for that matter.  That is why I reposted the article, for people who haven't read it (as is obvious reading some of the posts in this thread).  No one said that Matt sucks, no need to get all defensive.  He was the best QB USF has ever had to date.

I just felt your post was a bit asinine given that you were "stopping the talk" by presenting us with an article (which was already presented).

I don't take exception to the Grothe has no shot people because he really doesn't. I've even tried to explain that Grothe has accomplished much less as a collegiate than Flutie who he's often compared to as an example of why he'll make the NFL.
