Im going with JPP.  I forgot Selvie was even on USF this year and he played.  How am I supposed to remember him in a few years?

guy has been a ghost and over hyped for a long time.

JPP will be heard of for years to come.

This isn't close. Selvie for sure. He helped the team to our first ever top 2 rating in the nation. JPP was a flash in the pan. Selvie will forever be remembered as an all time USF great no matter how good or bad he does in the NFL.

Whoever has the better pro career will be remembered.

In talking about the USF faithful, Selvie will definitely be rememebered with more affection than JPP here at USF.  Selvie played longer, accomplished more both on and off the field, he didn't leave his team prematurely but played through his senior year, and it was because of the reputation he established in his sophomore year that he was almost always double teamed his jr and senior yr which freed up the other linemen like JPP to put up better stats.  If there was any doubt, go back and listen to the home game intros and see who got the loudest applause.  The two that overshadowed all the others were Selvie and Grothe.  No one else came close.

Now who will have the better NFL career, only time will tell.

I don't see how either could ever be forgotten.

Well, we've already had guys win Super Bowls (Kawika, Ryan Benjamin), a guy who had 10 interceptions in one season (Anthony Henry), so we have had some guys who were drafted and had success in the NFL. Selvie will be remembered as the Playboy All-Amercian, the "face" of our defense during the Grothe Era, the guy everyone turned to. Now, JPP might always be remembered if he has a long successful pro career, but I dont know if anyone outside of USF will associate him with USF. You saw when he was drafted, Chris Berman mentioned the "out of nowhere" storyline  and we are just a piece of that.

+1
