I think our baseball team might stink

They are now 3-12 on the season. I wasn't going to say it earlier because they played a bunch of tough competition, but they lost all of those games, and now they're losing games to Jacksonville and Eastern Illinois... this is bad. Unless they go on some kind of rampage in conference play they might already be done.

Might?  They do stink.  This team lacks a heart, once they get behind they show no fight.  Until a player or two steps up and demonstrates leadership this team will continue to struggle.

They're 3-12.  It's not like they'e 7-8 and he's saying they stink.  I don't know anything about the team, but average teams don't start a season 3-12, teams that stink do.

I never argued that they don't stink. I'm just commenting on the fact that he's throwing in the towel on the season a quarter way in. What if next football season we beat Stony Brook, but lose to Florida and Western Kentucky (just go with it for the sake of the argument), are we going to say seasons over, pack it in?

There are two issues I see with this team.  The first is that they are making too many fielding errors; this can be fixed. The other factor is not the lack of leadership, its the lack of vocal leadership. The leaders of this team, like Sam Mende, are not the yell in your face, get fired up type; they are the quiet, lead by example type.
