We're still awaiting the Big East schedule.

Here's part of it:

Miami @ Pittsburgh - Thurs Night game

Cincinnati @ NC State Sept 16,2010 Thurs night game

Maybe ESPN will realize we suck on Thursday night and not schedule one.

Maybe PaPa Louie  put a word in for us.

We should run away from Thursday night games like a crack head runs from the cops.

Amen.  The Thursday night game slot is gimmicky, it screws up the team's rhythm and routine.  It makes parting difficult if not impossible for the fans, it hurts attendance and it SCREAMS Busch League... regardless of who's calling the shots on the sidelines, Thurs night games are a lose lose situation for all (except for ESPN).

It's not. USF gets a lot of national exposure from being the only game played thursday night. Plus, we get extra ca$h for being on ESPN. It's also good for the big east which rarely has primetime games... the only thing is we need to win.

You guys might not like it and from the standpoint of someone not in Tampa is hard to get to those games. BUT

Thursday night games a aMAJOR recruiting tool, you have the attention of the nation and recruits are watching. Win those games and you can build a national reputattion quickly. VTech has done it.

Right now USF hasnt won any of those games, until we win them we will be an after thought in the Big East and National race.

I want USF to be on thursday night and WIN those games because that will help us more in the national media.

In total agreement with Cuban on this one.  Wake up people, Thursday night games are huge for a program, and there is nothing gimicky about those games.  That being said, I don't see us getting more than 1 this year.  That miserable performance against RU might be enough to keep ESPN from having us play one.

Thursday night college games on ESPN are well-established, and it's probably the biggest stage of the weekend outside of whatever game CBS shows, and the Saturday night ABC game. These are good for any program who plays in them.

And seriously... USF would have lost their last few Thursday night games no matter what day they played them. The teams they played were better than them.
