I'm pretty sure WKU also plays NEBRASKA this year.  ;D

If nor us, I'm glad he went chose WKU OVER NEBRASKA.

Reminds me when Mike Jenkins chose USF over NEBRASKA.

That was as big a story then on this board and nationally, than what Cranes did to them.

Good for Carnes. He'll get to play early in a weaker conference and should dio just fine.

Don't we get WKU at home this up coming year, or is it the following year? Wonder if he starts as a true freshman..

Since I couldn't edit we do, Sep 25th.. Hopefully they put him out as a true freshman.

I still think the kid is getting bad advice from his coach, all because Willie Taggart went to the same high school. There's no other reason for someone like Carnes to end up getting offers pulled from USF and Nebraska and end up playing for a team that just went I-A and lost all 12 games last year.

Carnes wanted to start this season and from what I heard if he didn't start as a freshmen there was going to be issues so they pulled the offer and the same for NU

Really glad Holtz pulled the offer yesterday now. Would have been embarrassing to have Carnes pick WKU over us.

Not surprised he picked them either; considering they have two local guys on staff now

He also had offers from Clemson, Georgia, Lville

Wow. If the kid's goal is to get to the league he chose (or was forced) into the toughest path. Good luck to him.

Looks like Skip was right in pulling his scholarship.  Nebraska fans aren't happy.

This is really surprising.  Good pick up for WKU...looks like they're on the move up with their new HC.

Good luck to him. I bet WKU are extremely excited much like when we first started out and got some big recruits from other schools. Being at his skill level, however, I think he's going to be extremely frustrated when he finds himself surrounded by kids on offense who play on an 0-12 Sun Belt team. And like others have said, WKU goes to play AT Nebraska and USF this year. I do not envy him.
