Because Skip was such an upright and admired guy, I bet a lot of the ECU fans are now USF fans too, in their own small way.

Nope. They hated us before, after beating them 4 times, after making those stupid shirts, and after we "took" their spot in the BE, and now we took their coach! A lot of their fans would love to see us go 0-12 this year.

The way he has been working, I would not be suprised. He seems to be the guy that can really sell this program which will bring in more boosters.

Come on, not to be the leavitt versus Holtz kinda of guy, but you honestly think that 4 days into this he can sell the program better that Leavitt ever did?  I mean, honestly, Leavitt lived this place and nurtured it.  He spoke with the passion of new father.

Not to be getting into mad cow territory, but didn't Obama sell his vision better than McCain? And NOBODY would ever doubt McCain's passion and commitment to his country. Obama just happens to be more charismatic and a far better public speaker.

So is Holtz.

One could only hope he is a lil' more successful than ol' Barry...cause that ship is sinking quicker than the Titanic.

I think Skip will use that shovel to build an in-door practice field before an OCS.  Once the summer rain storms start messing with practice that will be his first fund raising project.  (Maybe take that turf field they are building and build a bubble around it)
