He needs to quit hiding behind his parents and lawyer. He isn't a kid, he's over 18. If he really feels victimized, he should fight back or file criminal charges.

Will be interesting to see how this goes. If he brings up criminal charges, Leavitt would have to be proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.  I'd think if 3 players who were there said he did it, but 6 said he didn't - as well as a cop in the room - that would be reasonable doubt.  As for civil, they would have to prove that he suffered some form of injury (not necessarily physical) and that Leavitt caused that to happen, and that Leavitt would have to make him whole.  The kid did not have a physical injury so it would have to be mental or public opinion harm as a direct result of leavitt.  Well, he is the one who denied it after the article, on his own.  Confessing to lying publicly while trying to say someone else is lying, and having that as the basis for a lawsuit, would be hard to prove.  I suspect Cohen is just postering and trying to "guilt" leavitt into something.  Leavitt's lawyers would never allow him to admit anything. He is in the drivers seat for the most part on both suits and he knows it.

And one more thing.  I have heard an old addage.  When someone says "its not about the money" guess what, it is about the money.

Joel "manned up" and admitted he lied.  Leavitt should do the same thing.

So you're saying he told the truth about Woolard?  Well then, we need a whole new investigation by Tom Gonzalez and someone else needs to get fired, wouldn't you thinK?

Is this what you're referring to?

"Leavitt wasn't the only high-ranking official in the athletics department who was aware of the incident. Miller said "everyone in the USF athletics building, including athletic director Doug Woolard," knew what happened to him days after the incident. "Everyone knew," Miller said. "Everyone knows what happened.""  Fanhouse

Yes,  it certainly should be investigated.

Unless you have perused Barry Cohen's business/financial records I'd say you are talking out of your azz!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
