He had an "out" in his Utah contract where if he chose ND, he wouldn't have to pay a buyout. I guess UF is picking up that tab?

OhioBull Posted December 3, 2004 Group: Member Topic Count: 45 Content Count: 473 Reputation: 157 Days Won: 2 Joined: 11/22/2004 Share Posted December 3, 2004 It is an event like this that will further ND to look for conference affiliation. The Gators will be loaded with talent and will be a quicker path to a NC and exposure for Meyer. Yes, ND gives you exposure but not the right kind these days. ND is further down the ladder than most think at this point and will soon look to a conference to bail them out. The NBE is the most obvious solution because of existing tie-ins and as many have stated here is the easiest path to the BCS bowl games.I am not suprised by this and I would have done the same thing if I was Meyer. Florida is the better job.

I think I heard that they offered $1 mil more than ND. I wonder if he remembers the beatdown he took in RayJay back in '02.  Awesome to see a #25 ranked team get their heads handed to them.http://isis.fastmail.usf.edu/usf-athletics/Releases/football/2002/11/16/20021116.htmhttp://bgsufalcons.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/111702aaa.html
