Holy cow the BE schedule looks daunting!  Will it take 8-9 wins to make the NCAAs?  WIll it take 6 or 7 wins to make the NIT?  I'm thinking it will take 7 wins to make NIT and 9 to make NCAAs unless the MMB Bulls can beat a ranked BE team then 8 might do it.  8 win with 2 against ranked teams is a sure thing.

Being in the Big East helps us for a bid for the NIT, though six wins would put us at 16-14 for the regular season.  Not sure if that'd be enough for the NIT.  Grabbing a win in the BE tournament would help us.

It will largely depend on who we beat for either the NCAA Tournament or the NIT.

I think our first game is winnable as Louisville doesn't look as strong as in years past.  We play Providence twice and I like our chances there.  Actually the same goes for Notre Dame, who I think was highly overrated going into the season.  We get two against them.

I think it's pretty even outside of the top 6 - Syracuse, Villanova, WVU, Georgetown, UConn, and Pitt.  A win against any one of those guys helps us.

Our best situation would be to get to 10 conference wins with our 10th being against UConn at the SunDome to end the regular season.  I'm not saying it'll happen, but a 20-10 USF squad with a recent win against UConn and maybe two wins in the tournament to finish 22-11 would likely be a lock.

I think it more likely we win 7-8 and possibly win in the first round.  18-13?  That would get us into the NIT but the NCAA tournament would depend on who we beat in the conference.

i think 6 gets us in the NIT and that should be the bottom goal.

I like Heaths brand of basketball, we may not be that good yet but we are not a boring team to watch.

I see us as a lock for the CBI  :P

I'm pretty sure an under .500 Oregon State team won that tourney last year!

I don't see us getting into the NCAAs this year.

NIT = 7 without BE first round win (17-14), 6 including BE first round victory (16-16) - what have you done for me lately? mentality with committees

NCAA = 10 without BE first round win (20-11), 9 including BE first round victory (19-13)

OR NCAA = 0-18 BE season and 5 BE tournament wins for championship (15-20) - hey, it could happen

6-7 wins and NIT for sure

7-9 wins NCAA bubble depending on who we beat and how we do in the last 10

9-10 wins and in the dance

I see NIT for sure out of this team with a 30-40% chance of MARCH MADNESS

PS...... PITT is way down and ND are not as good as people expected, the cuse is much better then everyone thought they would be
