Chico "failed" at Arizona, but I am pretty sure that was right after he left USF. He then went to NC State and was Rivers' QB coach. He then went to the NY Jets and was their WR coach...the year Santana Moss looked like a true NFL WR and went to the pro-bowl. Sorry, but I don't think Chico had "no where else to turn".

Canales went to NC State after the Bulls, then a year with the Jets and then to Arizona before ending up back here.

He's listed as a RB and doubt he'f be on the 4 Deep in 2010

CJL has put a lot of walk-ons on scholarship.  It wouldn't surprise me. cm says it was in the works before the Louisville game.  Duemig and company are already laying groundwork to call that a bribe.

Leavitt loves the underdog.  He rewards hard work.  I can see it happening.

It'll look like a cover up to those who don't pay attention to USF, I'd wait til summer to officially put him on a scholarship.

When you really think about it, it would be a pretty lousy bribe.

I thought he had a scholarship at Citadel, left that to go to USF as a walk-on.  Tells me he's not like some guy really hurting for a scholarship and would sell his soul to the devil for one.

Why not? Kicker's have a schoarship. A special teams player who is in on kickoff coverage is especially valuable.

take a look at some of the guys leavitt has scholarshipped after a few years.... you will notice that many of them have not been major contributors on offense or defense...

faron hornes comes to mind among many others.

miller is vital in scout team as he has the athletic ability to mimic literally anybody from any offense.

if you go back and look at his work in highschool you will learn a lot about him.

he did have a scholarship at the citadel

he left because of conditions that were not met on the recruiting trail...

not hurting for a scholarship or money

It's a **** shame the hacks like McMurphy don't do legit stories on players like Miller instead of hit jobs.  Same for legit media like Auman/Carter, we should get more stories on these guys trying to work up, instead of multiple Selvie stories.
