The Golden Knights are the first Florida Division I team to go winless since Florida went 0-10-1 in 1979.

Maybe the optimists at UCF see this as a good sign.  Florida seemed to turn things around the last 25 years.

Actually ucf's losing streak may be a bad thing and we are getting set up for national press.  I don't like playing teams with big losing streaks, as they have evverything to gain and we have everything to lose.  Imagine the headlines, ucf cant beat buffalo, kent state, ball state, but they can beat usf.  That would make their streak all worth it, just to be able to beat us.

One the other hand who would play for ucf, what possible recruiting tools do they have?  A crap stadium that may be shut down, a 15 game losing streak, havent beat a winning 1-a team (ever?)

UCF has beaten 4 I-A teams with a winning record since they turned I-A in 1996.

1997 Toledo (9-2, #31 in also receiving votes on ESPN)

1998 @Toledo(7-5)

2001 UAB (6-5)

2002 @Miami(OH) (7-5)

FYI, USF has beaten the following I-A teams with a winning record since turning I-A in 2001.

2001 @Pitt (6-5, W Tangerine Bowl)

2002 N. Illinois (8-4)

2002 @N. Texas (7-5, W New Orleans Bowl)

2002 So Miss (7-5, L Houston Bowl)

2002 #25 Bowling Green (9-3, #25 ESPN when Bulls played them)

2003 Louisville (9-3, L GMAC Bowl)

2003 @Memphis (8-4, W New Orleans Bowl)

2004 UAB (7-3 so far)

As noted on another thread...

From what I saw on the nationalchamps.net website, UCF starts the season:

at South Carolina

at West Virginia

at USF

plus the C-USA games 4 home/away games

So it looks like UCF will be coming to Raymond James with a 17-game losing streak.  USF should be 2-0 with victories over Penn State and FAMU... Could we be in trouble??

Who was that clown that wrote in the Orlando Sentinel that called us the Chickpoos ?  What has he got to say now ?  I always thought once UCF went to the Mac they would dominate that conference.  Boy was I wrong.

we should be thankful such a bad team is one our schedule and we should pound them into the dirt

why would one be hesitant playing a team that hasn't won a game in  years?

i disagree with you bullman

if we can't be confident playing ftu/ou? who will we be confident playing
