I didn't want to say this.  But, I feel that this is a rebuilding year for us.  As soon as Grothe went down, I felt this way.  After the FSU game, I was confident in B.J. Daniels and had second thoughts.  But, now after the Cinci and Pitt game.  I have to say that this is a rebuilding year.

Having Selvie and Allen as a seniors doesn't suddenly make this an experienced team.  We are young at WR, OL, QB, DT, LB, and CB.  That's the majority of the team.

Not too mention how many new coordinators we have.

I can say that many of our young players show a lot of promise and I hope will one day be one of the best we've had.  I feel that the recruits we are getting are better than the recruits we picked up 4 years ago.

I'd buy that.

4 new starters on the O-line. Our three QB's are freshman, two of which are part time qb's at that.

Now **** it, why do you have to bring common sense into the discussion? Nobody want to hear that.  ;D

haha - I'm just trying to find a positive.  It just seems like ever time a good play is made, it's made by either a new guy, or Nate Allen.

I hate the term rebuilding

How about Reloading.

This team reminds me of the Cincy team from 4 or so years ago. Very young but allot of talented.

I think the term reloading comes into play when you are much deeper in talent...when the junior takes the place of the senior...we are rebuilding with altogether fresh faces in some spots.

I wish we were reloading, it does sound much better and indicates more weaponry!

It's a tough term to swallow, but it's hard to argue with right now.  Alot of YOUNG talent is exactly what this team has, especially at the core positions.  If developed correctly, we could have some years of utter BE dominance with these kids.

We always seem to be young!! You guys do know that athletes are only eligible to play 4 years, right?

Pitt Game Starters

Seniors - 8

Juniors - 9

Sophomores - 3

Freshmen - 2

Doesn't look like a young team to me. 17 of 22 starters are upperclassmen.

If developed correctly and subsequent top classes follow...

Here are the starters from what I found on the gameday depth chart along with their stats

Jessie Hester - no receptions

Ben Busbee - no receptions

Theo Wilson - no receptions, no returns

Mo Plancher - 5 carries, 23 yards.  1 reception for 7 yards

George Selvie -  1 tackle

Kion Wilson - 8 solo tackles, 6 assists  = 14  (led the team) - also had a sack

Chris Robinson - 1 solo tackle, 1 assist = 2

Nate Allen - 6 solo, 6 assist = 12

Jerome Murphy - 3 solo tackles, 2 assists = 5 (I didn't see a stat for how many receptions he gave up)
