USF will jump 1 loss teams if they continue to win.

Nice punt. They looked like our special teams.

The Big 12 north is worse than C-USA

Haha yeah I was hoping for 2-0 or 5-3. Gutsy call, though I thought it looked like the Mizzou quarterback didn't get in.

Crazy 4th quarter for Nebraska!

On a slightly different note, I think Michigan beating Iowa this weekend would help us more than this game.

Was pulling for Nebraska. I didn't want to hear all week about how home underdogs ALWAYS win on Thursday nights.

i think i gotta go with nebraska.  id rather eliminate another undefeated team (not cause i think we will go to the national title) but because we are more likely to get more national attention if there are only a handful of undefeateds left after this week.

To me, I say hold the more national attention until after next Thursday .... It will be meaningless without a win over Cincy.

why you afraid of national attention??  we've got to get beyond this whole "october collapse" or as soon as we get ranked we tank.

There are a lot of things that are meaningless without a win.

I agree!! Give us attention and let's live up to it!

home underdogs usually DO win on thursday nights. but these teams were too closely ranked for one to be a true underdog, plus when the weather is like that, it's anyone's game (ask miami about their trip to blacksburg, VA).

i'm rooting for the following this week:

LSU over UF - UF's only shot to really lose; LSU still plays 'Bama and Auburn

Bama over Ole Miss - I want Ole Miss out of the Top 25

Wisconsin over OSU - WI will lose later on, I don't like OSU. Get them solidly below Cincy.

Michigan over Iowa - beat the unbeaten

FSU over GT - help our SoS, do it for Captain Dagnabbit!

Air Force over TCU - probably wont' happen, but beat the unbeaten.

Auburn over Arkansas - helps WVU's loss look better (and the BE by connection); AU still has to play LSU and Bama

BC over VT - I don't like VT much. Makes Miami's loss to VT look worse, but makes FSU loss to BC look better.

Texas A&M over OSU - Dez Bryant is gone, this team is reeling. Get them to drop lower in the ranks.

UNLV over BYU - probably won't happen, but would be nice to see them drop.

Ideally, I'd like to see:

LSU beat UF

Alabama beat Ole Miss

Ole Miss beat LSU

LSU beat Auburn

Auburn beat Alabama

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
