Congratulations, USF!! Great for the conference, and well-deserved. That was definitely a Top 25 team that took it to us yesterday. Now just don't have that late-season collapse!

The ranking is alwas a bad omen.  I hoping home field advantage gives us the edge over Cincy,

we've got to learn how to play well while ranked.  if we dont then we will never win any kind of championship (conf or national)

glad to see us #23

The article above says we're 2 - 0 when ranked and playing a ranked team.  Our problem is when we are ranked and the opponent is not.  If we hold true to form we beat Cinci then lose to Pitt.

Guest nybullsfan

we have 10 days to get ready for cincy at rjs and another 10 to get ready for pitt at heinz.

no reason in the world we shouldn't win them both.

Having the extra time between games is huge, I think.  It gives our players a chance to recover as well as get ready for the next game.

I'm with you Mama I am glad they have some time to prepare for the upcoming games.  They have to go in hungry and ready to kick butt.  They can do it and they have proven it.  Forget the rankings they will follow just win the games.  It's that "W" column that means more.  As time marches on and we keep winning the ranking will get higher.

According to Sagarin, we are pretty evenly matched.

To make predictions for upcoming games, simply compare the RATINGS of

the teams in question and allow an ADDITIONAL  3  points for the home

team.  Thus, for example, a HOME team with a rating of 92 would be

favored by  5  points over a VISITING team having a rating of 90.

Or a VISITING team with a rating of 89 would be favored by  7  points

over a HOME team having a rating of 79.

So, if our rating is 82.33 and Cincy's is 85.36, if we give ourselves 3 additional points for home field advantage, that's USF at 85.33 and Cincy at 85.36.

Pitt is receiving votes now and has UConn and Rutgers before us. That could very well be a clash of ranked teams as well.
