bwsdj Posted August 30, 2009 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 384 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 11/09/2006 Share Posted August 30, 2009 We had been Tailgating in the Old Mall lot, Same spot since 2000, since the NEW Rules came out we had to Move to our New Privately owned lot. 4 hours is not enough time for us to BBQ, It takes between 45 minutes to a hour just to get our pit up to the right cooking Temp. Before we relocated last season, we were getting our sound system set up for our DJ and The cops told us to pack it back up or they would confiscate the equipment. They even pulled out the rules to show us when we questioned them. I think it stinks because a couple of people/groups caused issues last year that they punish everyone. I constantly heard they wanted to cut down on the time students/fans can drink before the game. If they are so concerned with the alcohol issue, WHY IS BEER STILL SOLD IN THE STADIUM??? Can U say all about the Benjamins ??

Here's a map that shows you the resereved and non-reserved lots for Bulls games: Since we've always been in reserved lots, I'm not sure which, if any, of the General parking lots are more family friendly .... I would, though, try to avoid Lot 14 since that's where a lot of the students park.

I like Lot 4, it's a tailgate environment, so there is a lot of drinking, but it's a step up from Lot 14. Lot 4 is grass and works well for Washers or other tailgate games.Have fun at the game, you may find yourself hooked on the Bulls like the rest of us.
