That not one Bulls fan would bid on something like this?Come on.

From what I've seen, the karate kids are not so popular around here.... You're basically copying a tradition where your leading the bull to slaughter at the hands of it's opponent... Just sayin... :

A simple email would be sufficient to at least let fans know there are auctions available...

Well yes of course... but if you're changing the story why do it in the first place... not to get back to the 8 page thread on the subject but it seems like USF is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. It doesn't fit... why push a bad situation? Fans don't understand it.. and when it's explained, the regular reaction is "ummmmm ok".

Going back 10 years. Most agree marketing has gotten better, but something like marketing is rarely where everyone wants it to be. I think we've gotten a lot better. Just look at the official site and what it offers compared to just 7-8 years ago. I would recommend that you suggest some ideas and opportunities for USF to better market itself. They read the board. Better than just a slam, tell everyone what you would do or not do and have a discussion.

In the business world, I would never go into a conversation being critical of something without having a solution in my pocket, and it should be the same here. While marketing has improved, it is still disappointing to see something tlike this where few are likely to be aware of the auction. In this case, someone had to set the auction up on the site, and it should be just as easy to send out an email at the same time to everyone who has ever bid on an auction at a minimum, and to the entire weblist at best. I will tell you that I noticed that they tweeted this, which may be how Bulliever stumbled onto it...
