I think it's funny how this Leavitt vs. McMurphy feud has developed over the years. It's also odd because when I last lived in Tampa, which ended in 2004, he had a reputation among me and my newspaper buddies for being too buddy-buddy with a lot of coaches in a few sports and being very shady and perhaps unethical in the way he obtained information. Now he's like the nemesis of the entire department it seems. Greg Auman clearly does a better job of gaining information than McMurphy does, no questions asked.

EDIT: Perhaps this was better suited in the thread about Ryne Giddens at practice. There's just a few threads and posts about McMurphy on the board right now. Oh well.

How do you know, did you ask Leavitt?

Read his blog about the Board drills...it's obvious. Even GA wouldn't comment on it when asked by posters, b/c he won't throw fellow "reporters" (if thats what you call McMurphy) under the bus.

GA reported that the media was banned from the practices now. Before they only got to see the first 1/2 hour but, now they can't see any. That was reported in his live chat session this afternoon.

Being the QB's little brother doesn't mean you know it all.
