I'm going to grad school at FSU and have been perusing the warchant.com board. In discussions on 2009 opponents, there's not much mention of USF other than "sure win" or, at most, that this could be a trap game.

What do you think? Does USF have a legitimate shot against FSU?

Is this a serious question? Yes we have a shot will prob be 5 point dogs when we play, and you get 3 points for being the home team.

It all depends on which team shows up.

USF is always up for games like this. It wouldnt surprise me in the least if USF wins both at FSU and vs Miami. You know these guys thrive in the underdog roll.

Those fans are obviously the ones wearing garnet and gold glasses. UNC and Auburn fans were saying the same thing and look what that got them. Since most fans don’t pay much attention to what other programs are doing it is easy for them to say “I did not know they had a football team†or “They are in the BCS?†Either way it’s a win-win. They don’t enjoy the game unless they wax us which is what they expect and then their season is ruined because they lost to some crap team they never heard of. Same deal with us when we played FIU, FAU or McNeese State. Those are not fond memories.  So let them overlook us.

If so, IMO it'll be the first time since TCU that we won a road game against a team that was (1) favored over us, (2) and played us with the absolute knowledge that USF could easily win the game. . . . put another way, it'll be the first time in a long time (if ever) that we beat a favored team on the road where the element of surprise plays no part.

We are not sneaking up on FSU. . . . . like we did on Pitt, Auburn and WVU.

The 2 teams in that question should be flipped!!! We'll have a senior qb, which means a lot, returning All-American on D, and some special new add-ons we just signed. Granted they pulled in a great class as well, but Ponder is coming off his first year as a starter, they lost their All-American d-lineman, leading rusher, top 2 leading recievers, and top 3 tacklers on D. Major holes to fill for them.
