That is a good question. I just read through 6 pages on their Scout bb forum trying to find out. The speculation is playing time, but nobody really knows for sure. Although I wouldn't count on him playing with DoJo for 2 years. Hopefully he does but DJ may bounce to the NBA after another year.

Kinda confused as it's now January. The paper says he'll have 3 1/2 years of eligibility remaining.

Velcro Posted January 4, 2009 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 19,229 Reputation: 7 Days Won: 1 Joined: 01/14/2002 Share Posted January 4, 2009 We still have a huge need on next years roster....PG Howard (6'3 200)/ Crater / Leemow (6'0 180)/ Daniels (6'2 210)SG DoJo (6'4 215) / Mercer (6'3 195)/ Noriega (6'3 190)SF Dumars (6'4 235)PF Gilchrist (6'10 220)/ Espinosa (6'9 220)C Rivas (6'11 230)We have big little men and little big men. Big guards are good, especially if they are quick... but little big men, in this league, is trouble. Guys like Onuaku, Thabeet (won't have to worry about him), Blair just eat these weaker smaller plays for lunch. Heck, Gransberry had trouble against these guys. How can Gilchrist and Espinosa defend them or post them up? We need some beef for next year... that is ready to play. Hopefully there is a Juco out there somewhere or some diamond in the rough freshman.

You really think he has the kind of talent where the NBA will be begging for him to come out early?I find that a little hard to believe also ...Did I say begging? NO. But I do believe that he could play in the NBA in a year or two. I've seen enough NBA games and I know for a fact that he can shoot better than most in the league. He has his negatives but he can definately shoot the ball even in big games. That usually gets you in the league.
