BBQ getting more snaps than the other backs is not BBQ's fault.

the RB rotation is a decision made by CJL and Coach Franks.

BBQ being on the team never stopped Ford or Taylor from getting snaps.

what stopped Ford/Taylor from getting snaps was either Ford/Taylor themselves not performing as well as Ben, or the coaches making the decision that Ben deserved more touches.

either way, none of it can be put on Ben.

he was a great Bull, a hard worker and a consumate team player.

glad to have had him around the past 4 years.

Well said.  I do not understand why people blame Ben for playing his *** off and others not doing that.

i think the mentality is that having BBQ on the roster takes PT away from Ford and Taylor.

and while that may be true in the most basic sense--- more backs in the rotation = less PT for each individual back--- that is not BBQ's fault.

it is either 1 of 2 things:

1) BBQ simply outplayed the other backs

or

2) the coaches gave BBQ snaps based on seniority/favoritism rather than talent

in either scenario, there is not a single thing BBQ has done to warrant some of the animosity people show him.

all he can do is train hard, practice hard, play hard and execute the plays when coach Franks calls his number.  he did that, and if more Bulls followed his lead we wouldn't have lost 5 games this year.

I think a lot of people don't like him because they think it's #2. That's why we are happy he is graduating. Many people have accused the coaches of  showing favoritism. Maybe you are right, we should show more animosity to the coaches who prefer him instead of BBQ.  If Ford/Taylor are great next year we will see the coaches were wrong.

4.  Mike Ford breaking out - I really think he will next year.

I'm tired of hearing about this bum. He is just not that good.

I know he didn't have a great year but, in fairness, he was hurt since before the season started.  The same high ankle sprain never healed.  Let's not be too harsh on him.  CJL told us he had hoped to feature him this year but didn't get the chance because of the injury.

- Miami visiting in potentially the final game.

- Hopeful increase in Season Tickets.

- Hopeful Winning of Big East/BCS Bowl.

- Potential of Grothe having a Big East MVP Season.

- Talent at RB to have a 1,000 Yard Rusher.

What do you mean? I thought this game was a 5-year deal at least?

5- A new Oline

4- Some new faces in the secondary

3- Ben Williams not running the ball

4- Roberts not on the field or running his mouth against non bcs schools

5- WVU at home and not in the snow

-I, like others, will add the Miami game along with a GREAT home schedule.

-I'll also take your #5 off.  Err, your second #5.  Football and snow go together.  It was fun as hell being at that game.

-And, I'm excited to have football again, period!  I'm glad I have my others teams to follow in the USF football offseason.

  • Hopfully less Grothe and more Taylor, Ford, Plancher, C. Mitchell, Bogans, etc.....
  • B.J. or Landi putting pressure on Grothe
  • Better DB play
  • More pass rush
  • Did I say less Grothe. You can't make Grothe the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd option on offense. We make it too easy to defense.
