There's a difference between celebrating and mocking an opposing player. Grothe in this case... mocking the player. When Hugh Smith got a flag for diving into the endzone, that was celebrating. Grothe is a black belt, so he might have worked the lineman over... either way, I would have chucked the ball at his head as well. Personal pride IMO. I'm just glad someone on their defense didn't take a cheap shot on him. The board would have lost it.

Either way, it's a player showing up the other team. I'm of the opinion that if you don't like the other team rubbing their success in your face, than stop it from happening. Maybe if their D hadn't given up a 32 yard run by the QB on 3rd and 22, Grothe wouldn't have been handing the ball to the lineman on the bench.

My sentiments exactly... I'll blame your wife for pressuring me to buy. Can I rent a room from you when the bank takes it back in March or April? I'll bring my three plasmas and Jorge excellent shoe box full of quality porn DVD's (I just rather not watch them at the same time).

his seems like much ado about nothing.  I think it was unnecessary but it didn't really bother me.  He should have been flagged for it, so in that sense it was a poor decision but not that big of a deal.  I think he was having fun not intentionally showing someone up. 

This pretty much sums it up for me ...

Excited about Grothe's SR season.
