CJL and his Staff have 13 days to create and implement some new things before the St Pete Bowl.  Last year The Bulls got caught with their pants down vs Oregon, the Ducks installed an entirely new offense and the Bulls changed very little.  Lets hope this year the Bulls have a few new wrinkles.  I know with only 13 days that can't change the entire offense, however, the Bulls must have a few new plays to keep the Tigers off balance, something the Bulls were unable to do in conference play this season.

You want us to expand from 6 plays to 12 plays in 13 days?! Won't happen!  ;)

How about 8 plays.  I'm 55 yrs old and I can tell the plays that's why opposing teams can.

This is obvious.  Our coaching staff has been hiding our playbook the whole season till the bowl, and they were hoping to whip it out for the Inaugural Magicjack St. Petersburg Bowl.

So I say, Gregory goes big, from 6 plays - 10 plays.

We're 2-2 versus Memphis.

2001 Lost 17-9

2002 Won 31-28

2003 Won 21-16

2004 Lost 31-15

With the exception of 2004, the margins were pretty close. Should we be worried? I wasn't at first, looking at what they've done this season. But looking historically, I dunno. I hope we put on a good (i.e. dominant) show.

Go Bulls!!

I'm just glad to see I'm not the only old fart on here.

Go Bulls!!

I remember all four of those games.

2001 (Away) -- We had a shot to tie at the end, but Marquel threw a pass out of the endzone that was about 6 feet over the receivers head (Whitaker I think)

2002 (Home) -- We jumped on Memphis 28-0 in the first half and then held on to win 31-28

2003 (Away) --  JR Reed single handily beats Memphis

2004 (Home) -- DeAngelo Hall runs all over us

Oregon actually ran the simplest offense in the history of the world against us...

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
