I have never really figured out why that is, but it seems to be that way.The Phillies also have been one of the worst franchises in the history of MLB over the past century. Not just the last decade like the Rays. So there fan base is pretty weak. They aren't going to travel like Red Sox and Yankee fans. Red Sox fans are the biggest travelers in MLB and even they could only muster 5K or so fans in the Trop per game in the ALCS. Its a non issue this series. The phillies are the most losingest (is that a word?) franchise in any sport. they been around for well over 100 years and won 1 world series I believe, in 1980. I watched them take about 12 shots and smoke about a pack of butts each. Hopefully they will frequent the tampa night life during the series. Pat Burrell was one of the funniest drunks i ever met. I have never really figured out why that is, but it seems to be that way.Except that many of us are simultaneously Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies fans. BTW: The Phillies have a long tradition of losing, but we also hosted an average of 42,254 fans at Citizens' Bank Park, good for 5th in MLB. The Rays? 22,259 a game / 26th best. Cheers. :cheers GO PHILLIES!!!!!
