I like noon kickoffs b/c you can get drunk before 10 am, be hungover by 1 pm, feel better by 4 pm, and drinking again by 6 pm.  a very well rounded day IMO!

Courtesy USF:

TAMPA -- Kickoff for the Louisville - USF football game on Oct. 25 has been set for 3:30 p.m. Eastern and will broadcast locally by Bright House Sports Network (channel 47 on Bright House Cable).

USF is in the midst of 27 straight televised games with 24 of those contests airing on the ESPN body of networks.  The streak extends to the game at Cincinnati on Thursday, Oct. 30, which will be televised by ESPN with the crew of Chris Fowler, Jesse Palmer, Erin Andrews and Craig James.

Is there an HD version of that channel available? I was wondering if it was 718 or 719 in Brighthouse in Hillsborough?

Are you kidding me?  That BrightHouse 47 channel has the worst video quality of any channel.  It is barely standard def, let alone BrightHouse broadcasting an HD version of it.  Their lousy picture quality on many channels is one of the reasons I gave BrightHouse the boot almost a year ago.

What about people who do not have BrightWhore, I mean BrightHouse?

This sucks.  People in the local area can watch the Gators on a local channel using any cable provider or just good old fashioned antennas.  I was able to pick up some UF game a few weeks ago in HD using a set of rabbit ears.  Amazing, and I did not have to pay any cable company to see the game in HD.  Of course, I HATE the Gators, so I quickly changed the channel.  I did have the option of viewing it, which unlike this BrightHouse 47 deal.

USF should make broadcast deals with local affiliate channels, not with this cable company that does not serve everyone in the Tampa Bay TV market.
