The game planning and preperation is pretty **** average too...

Average?

TOTAL DEFENSE: #20

TOTAL OFFENSE: #27

Yes, we could be better (great)! But I wouldn't call us average!

0-1.  Bad.

That is what we are right now.  We need to climb back up.

Before Pitt, what was USF, like #6 in the nation against the run?  We have Selvie, McClain, and Mompremeir out(3 of our top 5 defenders) and a great back in McCoy gets 140 yards, and Pitt averages less than 4ypc and suddenly we can't stop the run?  Assinine.

Now Roberts was exposed, so we do have some problems in the secondary, which hopefully will be addressed in the bye week.

I think when the season is over we will see that Pitt is a darn good team, and maybe that loss wasn't as bas as everyone thinks.  Pitt ran the frickin "How to beat USF" Playbook and ran it to perfection.  They knew we were banged up in the front 7 and that Roberts was suspect.  Pound the run and attack Roberts in man situations.  Keep us off balance w draws, shovel passes, and screens.  Great gameplan.

I still think USF is very good football team.  We finish 9-3 at worst.

Honestly, I'm probably more of a "glass half empty" guy, but this article is a freaking joke.

We were overrated in many respects (i.e. calling ourselves a good run defense very prematurely) but it's a joke how slanted that article was.

5-1  GOOD    0-1  BAD.

But I think, at the end of the year, we will be ELITE!!!

11-1    facing NORTH CAROLINA in the Orange Bowl.

I think average is pretty generous and pretty honest.

3 of the teams we played were in the bottom 9 in the nation in offense, so I would hope we would be ranked that high.

One more game like Pitt, and we're bad.

We are "decent" right now.  We're right on track for another 4-3 Big East finish.
