I always knew he was a strong punter--and a bad FG kicker--but he showed that he may deserve attention among the best in FBS punters last night. Big kudos, Delbert!!! Keep in mind we had a nice return taken back for a block in the back.

He made two great saves that were definite could have been momentum changers. Those are the type of play that would normally turn a statement game into a nail biter :clap

I like him and think he is a huge asset to this bulls team.
jaym Posted September 29, 2008 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 742 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 10/19/2007 Share Posted September 29, 2008 Delbert had not one but two potentially point-saving plays last night. One punt that was high that he jumped, one-handed, and got off for a great punt.Another punt that was past him that he ran down and rugby-punted for a 32 yard punt instead of a loss.3 punts on the night, one inside the 20. Plus he was one of the first guys out there encouraging Bonani after his miss.Delbert has really, REALLY come on since he's been allowed to focus on just one thing. And, considering the weather, he didn't do too bad on kickoffs last night either!Agreed he was the POG in my opinion.Jay
