The game is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. Presently, there is not a commitment for television, but the two schools and ESPN continue to discuss live coverage opportunities for that date. Saturday presents the best possible options for television opportunities. The game had originally been scheduled for Monday, September 6 on ESPN, but Hurricane Frances forced a postponement.“Pittsburgh has proven to be an outstanding partner throughout the discussions regarding a re-scheduled date for our game,†says USF Director of Athletics Doug Woolard. “We certainly appreciate their cooperation and patience in seeing this process to completion. We realize it’s important for fans of both programs to be able to plan their December 4 weekend and we’re happy to finalize the date. We join Pittsburgh in continued discussions with ESPN to keep the game televised as originally planned.†

Not that timing has anything to do with it, but the fact that it will be one more, and quite possibly critical, win. As for Pitt...it's just another game for them.
