We recruited Harrison Beck but were spurned for Nebraska. It all worked out for us as we ended up getting Matt and now Daniels. I would love to beat the Wolfpack just to even the score but it will be a tough game for us on the road.

i was pretty impressed with what i saw out of wilson during the ECU game.  but none the less...its a road game vs a good program and OOC BCS game.  it will be tough.

Since others have brought up the Oregon backup putting it to us, I won't do that again.  But I believe U Conn 3 years ago up there may have had a backup QB.  Don't believe we won that game either.  Not positive and I am extremely old so don't harass me if I have mis-remembered. 

The point is the QB situation depends on the type of offensive team we are playing.  With UConn running the ball for 250+ yards per game this year, it probably doesn't matter much who QB's.  I don't know if NC State is a big passing team or not.

It is no doubt that backups CAN be good players. Nobody is saying backups are sh1t.
