I hope cuba rips it apart.  I honestly don't want it to delay getting back to school.

With a Tropical Storm passing so close by us this coming Wednesday and we want our team to get a workout in I think we should tell them to move the workout to the Trop.  Plus, it will give them some practice on artificial turf.

you kow that isnt that bad of an idea if the rays would allow it.

She won't interrupt the start of the season.

Maybe the start of the season...but just curious: How do "erector sets" hold up under hurricane force winds?

Here's a good site for checking updates: http://www.crownweather.com/tropical.html It has pretty much every plot, graph, prediction, etc there is on the net all in one place.  It's updated as  they come out.

It won't take a Cat 4 to cause MAJOR flooding in Tampa.  A good CAT 2 coming in at the right angle can push Tampa Bay right up into the city.  Bear in mind that the New Orleans area did not get hit with a Cat 4 Katrina.  Katrina only had around Cat 2 winds in and around NO.  A cat 4 east of Tampa Bay could cause less damage than a cat 2 just to the west.

A great site for track graphics is www.skeetobite.com.

The Rays are supposed to be playing the Angels this week. I think those games are going to get called off, but even so... no.

Charley was further south and west at this point. It almost missed Cuba entirely. Also it was such a small storm that it was easy to intensify rapidly. By the time it made landfall, it was more like a 10-mile-wide tornado.

I was referring to the trajectory... as well as size... this will be a very compact storm most likely.

And it was 20 miles of the worst hell you could imagine... I was stuck in Punta Gorda that afternoon.... wicked scary
